Children's feet question?

I have a rule that socks are always worn with shoes but my youngest daughter likes to wear no socks with her shoes. Does anyone know if I allow no socks to be worn, what shoes would be the best shoes to be worn without socks? Thank about school days not just thongs/flipflops.

Children%26#039;s feet question?
Maybe some type of jelly shoes that have straps and cover her feet and are not open-toed. What about maryjanes or a slip on canvas shoe that can easily be washed. Shoes without socks usually equals stinky sweaty feet. Maybey she%26#039;ll outgrow it once she realizes how stinky her feet will become.
Reply:i you get mesh shoes that are breathable it would probably be ok to wear them without socks. also, if she just doesn%26#039;t like socks because they look tacky or something you can get short ones that you can%26#039;t see above shoes.
Reply:Tell her that her feet will stink (which they eventually will, then she will be the stinky kid in school) my kid did the same thing until we told her that! We had to throw her shoes away. I also got her wearing the small ankle socks so you can%26#039;t see them with tennis shoes. They are thin and she doesn%26#039;t complain anymore. We did not give her an option to not wear them, if she didn%26#039;t we told her to go put them on.
Reply:I beleive in the philosophy of doing what feels right.

If the child feels like having bare feed, 987,123,455,456,125,145,124,12,12 living things can%26#039;t be wrong
Reply:Keens! They are sandal/shoes. They are good for all activites.
Reply:maryjanes keds like shoes (there are no name brand ones that are just the same) dress sandals
Reply:sandles..no socks. runners can be too but some may cause blisters. How about a compromise...anklet socks
Reply:how about finding a thinner ankle sock. If that%26#039;s still not working

Just look for a casual tennis shoe with a good lining that is stitched well to the shoe.
Reply:No socks can make the shoes (sneakers mostly) SMELL! The socks absorb the sweat. It can cause alot of chaffing on your childs feet. I do the same thing %26quot;WHERES YOUR SOCKS?%26quot;

Because you have a daughter you are lucky. They now have those shoes and sneakers where there is no back to them, they have socks for it too. Try that.
Reply:My daughter is the same. I bought her a pair of mary janes that are some type of suede ( not real suede they are from target!) they are really cute and they pretty much go with everything.
Reply:socks should be worn with everything but sandals and flip flops. pantyhose with dress shoes
Reply:If you live in a warm climate, how about moccasins?
Reply:Vans traditional slip ons and low-cut converse are worn without socks. My advice, put odor eaters with an arch support in before she starts wearing them.

My daughter also wears the slip-on type tennies (with the cut-out heel) without socks. Can%26#039;t use them for PE though.
Reply:some kind of comfortable, padded sneaker ( running shoe ) would probably be best....

my grand daughter wears %26quot; Keds %26quot; sneakers with no socks all the time.......put cornstarch/baby powder in them at night to absorb sweat and odors......

: )
Reply:Sneakers can be worn without socks...loafers too. If she doesn%26#039;t want to wear socks don%26#039;t make her. Stop worrying about socks and pay attention to the bigger issues that will crop up during her growing years.
