Math question?

A company that manufactures designer shoes sold 80,000 pairs in a 6-month period. If 5.5% of the pairs sold were for children, how many pairs of children%26#039;s shoes did the company sell during that period?

Math question?
Just multiply the percent by the total to calculate the portion of children%26#039;s shoes.

80,000x.055=4400 children%26#039;s shoes.
Reply:80,000 pairs x 0.055 = 4400 pairs of kids shoes.
Reply:1. Divide the percent by 100 (5.5 divided by 100 = 0.055)

2. Calculate the total number of shoes sold (80,000) times the number from step one (80,000 times 0.055)

3. Round your answer if you need to (but you don%26#039;t in this question)
