I am twenty-one years old and petite at 4'9. I need help finding fashionable shoes, etc..?

Everytime I go shoe shopping for pumps or heels, I have the hardest time! Usually I will fit into a size five women%26#039;s, but with heels, I%26#039;m having problems. They%26#039;re just a little too big and the only other size to go down to is a children%26#039;s! Does anyone know of a good store that sells petite shoe sizes that are also fashionable? I don%26#039;t want to look like a granny or a four year old. Also, finding jeans seems to be hard as well. I%26#039;m usually a size 1-2, give or take, but the legs are always too long. I%26#039;m getting frustrated, and I%26#039;m just curious if there%26#039;s any hope out there for us petite women of the world! Thanks!

I sympathize, but I also want to tell you one reason why you%26#039;re lucky: sale shoes and table samples are usually still available in your size when there%26#039;s absolutely nothing in larger sizes! :)

As for your problem, I know that Nordstrom does a great job of stocking a massive variety of sizes, and will special order things for you. They started out as a shoe store, so they have a better selection than most department stores. You might try ordering a shoe in a narrow size, or getting the heel or ball-of-foot inserts. I have to get those sometimes (I%26#039;m between sizes). My sister has an extremely narrow heel, so she has problems as well, and Nordstrom will give you all sorts of inserts free when you buy the shoes (if you ask for them and need them, of course!)

I think I%26#039;ve read that Zappo%26#039;s online shoe store has a massive array of sizes. I know I%26#039;ve seen people advise hard-to-fit shoe shoppers to go there, but I think there%26#039;s also another place I%26#039;m forgetting. (Sorry!)

And just in case you haven%26#039;t checked it out, if you%26#039;re ever looking for non-heel shoes, especially in summer, they actually have really cute stuff in the kid%26#039;s department. I was kind of bummed last year that they had an adorable pair of leather flip-flops that were only in the kid%26#039;s department. You also might find some low heels there. I had some beautiful shoes when I was about 10 or 11 that came from children%26#039;s shoe stores and were heels I%26#039;d wear now. If they were still in fashion, that is! :)

Good luck!

Also, several %26quot;small shoe sizes!%26quot; sites link straight to searches on Zappos, so they do have those smaller sizes. Report It

Reply:Oh, and thank you for the %26quot;best answer,%26quot; but I overlooked your jeans issue! Teen %26amp; juniors departments are so adult these days I%26#039;d think you could definitely find the same styles as in MIsses. And often at MUCH better prices! ;) Many stores will also hem for you; ask! Report It

Reply:that is the problem of my sister too, but don%26#039;t worry i know that there will be a lot of beautifull shoes that will fit you...
Reply:My shoe size isnt that small but my jeans are...i was having the same problem with finding jeans that than i asked yahoo answers and somone told me to go to Charlotte Russe. (i didnt belive it) but i went there and the jeans were actualy on sale and they fit! and that NEVER happends to me so you may want to try them out GOOD LUCK with your shoes though, thats gotta be hard
Reply:HELLO!!!!! yes.... im like 5%26#039;3%26quot; and thats probably all thats going to happen. lol ...i find that nordstroms actually has some good heels, also if u dont mind the prices, saks fifth avenue has some high-quality-fit-well shoes....lol..... i tend not to go there so much, just because my bank account isnt *that* fat. haha, but as for the jeans, i would say get them tailored....usually the places will make them look as fashionable as when u first had them, just shorter, so they actually fit!! i hate it when my jeans always get so ripped and ratty at the ends!!!!!

also, the store %26quot;two lips%26quot; is a shoe store that has some nice heels, not that much $$$!!!! yay!! lol good luck!!!
