When buying toddler shoes?

When you buy your toddler%26#039;s shoes do you buy one size up from the size they outgrew or do you buy two sizes up? I%26#039;m not sure how far I should buy up...my son outgrows he shoes every two to three weeks. It%26#039;s insane! I%26#039;ve spent $150 on three pairs of shoes and he can%26#039;t even wear them anymore...

I don%26#039;t want to get suckered at the children%26#039;s store...

He%26#039;s outgrown his size 6%26#039;s so I%26#039;m thinking he%26#039;s into a size 7 - but I want room to grow. So, would that be a size 8?

HAVE HIS FOOT MEASURED THEN GO ONE SIZE UP. SO IF HE MEASURES A 7 THEN BUY AN 8. UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE PHASE AND YOU%26#039;LL JUST HAVE TO GO WITH IT. BUYING THEM TOO BIG MAY CAUSE BLISTERS AND THAT%26#039;S NEVER GOOD. START SELLING HIS GENTLY USED SHOES ON EBAY!
Reply:If their foot measures a 7 buy an 8.
Reply:I%26#039;m not sure what Children Store you went to, but I always go to Stride Rite. They measure the my daughters feet and tell me exactly what to get, and I usually walk out of there spending about $50 for 1 or 2 pairs. Then, I go to Wal-Mart and buy some other shoes for play that are $9. I was told every 3 months they need new shoes... but obviously every kid is different.
