How fast to children's feet grow?

My daughter is now in size 6 but I don%26#039;t want to by shoes in advance because she is growing so fast...how often do parents get their children%26#039;s feet checked?

It seems that everything about kids grow really really fast, feet, legs, everything. I never get anything for my son until right when he needs it. You never know when they%26#039;re going to have a growth spurt.
Reply:i read in a parenting book that toddlers feet grow on average half a size very 3-4 months. Report It

Reply:My daughter is only 11 months and she went from a size 2 to a size 4 in less than a week! I also know that my younger sister (she is 9 now) went up 3 sizes over the course of one summer. My suggestion would be to buy one pair of %26quot;for now%26quot; shoes to get her by with, and see what happens. If she seems to be going through a growth spurt, wait til it ends.
Reply:It seems that my three-year old daughter%26#039;s feet grow a size every 4-6 months. I reccomend that you don%26#039;t buy shoes in advance because you could buy sandals for summer but they not fit until fall (for example) I always buy a half size bigger so that the shoe can fit for a longer time. You just never know when they will have their next growth spurt.
Reply:How fast? Too fast!!
Reply:tell me about it, one year is size 3 then the next year is 4.5!

I probably buy shoes twice a year for my kids, they are growing boys (grade2/4).
Reply:Depends on the child................

My 10 year old twin grand daughters who do NOT have the same size feet. One goes through shoes every other month and the other one about once every 6 months.
