Children's Pictures?

We%26#039;re about to get our children%26#039;s pictures taken. My son 6m will wear a white polo bodysuit, khaki slacks, blue and brown thin strip blazer, with brown shoes. My daughter 4y will wear white dress with yellow and blue flowers, white tights, and white ballet looking shoes. I%26#039;m wondering what type of poses would be good for them? What color or types of backgrounds? and How should we fix our daughter%26#039;s hair. She has med brown, very curly, shoulder length hair. It%26#039;s not nappy though.

Children%26#039;s Pictures?
I surf the web for samples of kids photography to get the idea of the poses I want especially with the age difference like yours...
Reply:usually the photographer will position you unless you tell them you want to positional your family a certain way.

a good one will be for you to go on your knees and your children to stand next to you.
Reply:Have both children posed together, with a very bright back ground. Your little girls hair should have some cute berettes in it, change to a pretty hair ribbon during the next picture setting.
Reply:the professional photagraper will recomend positioning. I envy you, for having litlle kids,,mine are all grown up, darn it!
Reply:I am guessing this is for easter pictures so i think a bright background with your girl sitting in a little chair with her brother kind of facing her with a big white stuffed rabbit. Most of the time the photagrapher will put them up on some sort of platform with a fuzzy blanket overtop and you can put your hand underneath to help hold your son up and still.

The photagrapher may have some really cute ideas as well.

As for your daughter%26#039;s hair, if she can stand it down let it stay down and maybe use a curling iron to make nice ringlet curls. She may think it is a fun game of dress up at 4. Just make sure you can see her face, you don%26#039;t want to cover those beautiful eyes and cute smile.

Hope the pictures turn out great and have fun. Oh and I also hope you have made and appointment for a time when both of the kids are fed and awake and not sleepy or cranky. I didn%26#039;t think when i got my sons picture taken and i was very frusterated when we got done and the pictures were only OK.
